Croatian-Made Circular Ice Rink Earns Popularity in London

November the 5th, 2026 – A Croatian-made circular ice rink made by Wonderland Factory has earned enormous popularity in Leicester Square in the heart of London. Interest in the new festive winter attraction exceeded expectations, and more than 90 percent of tickets for the season were sold out in the first 24 hours from the start of sales. Ana Roksandic reports for Poslovni that the Croatian company Wonderland Factory, owner of the Ice Wonderland brand, realised the project of a circular ice rink with an area of 400 square metres on London’s Leicester Square, one of the most famous tourist locations in the British capital. Interest in the new winter attraction exceeded expectations, and more than 90 percent of tickets for the season were sold out in the first 24 hours from the start of sales. It is expected that Leicester Square will be visited by more than 3.5 million tourists during the winter. “In recent years, we’ve realised a large number of projects in the UK, which is one of our main export markets. Leicester Square is a particularly interesting project, not only because of the unique and extremely popular location in the very centre of London, but also because of the complexity of the execution,” said Rahela Bošnjak, director of Wonderland Factory which stands behind the Ice Wonderland brand. When it comes to the value of the projects, in Croatia it ranges up to 100,000 euros per location, for ice rinks with an area of 400 to 600 square metres. On the British market, the amounts can reach even 300,000 euros, depending on the scope of the work and additional services, they said from the company. “We are currently also assembling an ice rink in Liverpool, and in Great Britain we have a series of other locations. Nevertheless, we most look forward to Croatia and the beautiful Advents of which Ice Wonderland will be a part. Since we started precisely in Croatia, so we’re always particularly happy to work in Croatia,” Bošnjak stated. In order to maximally utilise the available space, the Ice Wonderland team designed the concept of a kind of “ice rink on a floor”. The entire construction and the ice rink surface are raised almost two metres above ground level, whereby space under the ice rink is ensured for the placement of the cooling system, technical equipment and all operational installations.
