Provincial IEC Manager Itumeleng Liba says the commission expects to assist more than 131 000 voters during the two-day special voting period. “Between today and tomorrow, we will be visiting and covering 131 809 voters. Thirty-three thousand of them will be at home, while 98 thousand will be coming to our stations. We can confirm that all our stations are open at the moment. We just had technical problems here and there, mainly because, at one or two stations, our colleagues had to familiarise themselves with the material and brief representatives from political parties and independent candidates. But all systems are running.” RELATED VIDEO | LGE 2026 | Special voting begins today Reported by Lebohang Motshweneng
